Avery Bradley Receives A Tribute Video And Standing Ovation In Return To Boston

Avery Bradley spent 7 seasons in Boston.  As Celtics fans, we had the privilege of watching him grow from a 19 year-old defensive specialist in 2010 to one of the most underrated two-players in the NBA by the time he was dealt to the Pistons this past summer.

He was the ultimate Celtic when it comes to effort and work ethic, so it’s no surprise that he was immediately embraced by Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and the fans.  AB was a guy you could always rely on to guard the best scorers in the game and bury clutch shots, and he brought it every single night.

The fans had a chance to pay their respects on Monday night when he returned to the Garden for the first time since the trade.

He received a tribute video, which was previously an honor reserved for players who won a championship with the team.  But an exception seemed necessary with this guy.  That was confirmed when the video was followed by a roaring standing ovation:

Bradley was able to develop into a leader in his final years with the C’s, and was named to the NBA All-Defensive Team in 2016.  So far in Detroit, he’s averaging 16.8 points per game and 1.4 steals.
