The Sox’ lone All-Star (let’s hope we don’t have to say that this season) made an incredible diving play at second base in the Boston’s 4-3 win over the Cardinals Monday, robbing Jedd Gyorko of a base hit:
This is the type of effort we’ve come to expect from the Brockstar every time he takes the field, no matter what position he’s playing. The same can’t be said about Hanley Ramirez, so it was good to at least see him make a nice stretch for the putout. He actually seems to be pretty comfortable at first so far and my confidence in him is slowly starting to grow.
Travis Shaw continues to be the Sox’ best player this Spring. He doubled twice and singled in the 4-3 win.
