Celtics Outlast Lakers At The Garden For 10th Straight Win
The Lonzo Ball Show came to Boston on Wednesday night.
Just kidding.
The Lakers’ rookie went 4-15 from the field, continuing what has been an underwhelming season up to this point. Meanwhile, the Celtics continued their longest win-streak since 2010 and longest before Thanksgiving since 1972.
The C’s jumped out to a 17-point lead in the 1st quarter thanks to more dazzling plays like this one from Kyrie Irving:

Then Terry Rozier closed out the quarter by banking in this deep three:

Boston then opened up the 2nd quarter with this impressive no-look pass from Marcus Smart, leading to a Semi Ojeleye and-one:

Then the Lakers were able to go on a run of their own to get within 6 points. Just as they were ready to completely steal the Celtics’ momentum, Smart came up with the play of the game with this rejection on Lonzo Ball:

LA continued to hang close in the 3rd before Daniel Theis brought the Garden back to life with this throw down:

Theis also had a couple key hustle plays in the 4th when he came up with a block and then a steal:

The Celtics have obviously been playing lights out on both ends of the floor during this streak, but we knew Wednesday night wouldn’t be easy with the absence of Al Horford. Thankfully, Aron Baynes went ahead and had the game of his life with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The C’s are back at the Garden against the Hornets on Friday night as they try to extend the streak to 11. Tip-off is at 7:30.
