C’s Beat Worst Team in the NBA
The Celtics defeated the Sixers 101-90 on Wednesday night, bringing Philly’s record to an embarrassing 0-11. The C’s ended a three game losing streak and improved to 4-6 on the season.
After a lackluster first half, the Celtics were able to make some halftime adjustments and save themselves the embarrassment of handing the Sixers their first win.
Boston was led by the hard-nose play of Jared Sullinger and Brandon Bass. Sully’s 18 second half points gave him 22 for the game to go along with 9 rebounds. Bass was an impressive 9-13 from the field on his way to a season-high 23 points.
Marcus “The Microwave” Thornton provided a spark off the bench with 13 points.
The Celtics now head to Memphis to face the team with the best record in the NBA on Friday night.
