Mookie Betts Hits A 3-Run Homer In The 9th To Lift The Red Sox Over The Brewers (VIDEO)
After strong starts from Eduardo Rodriguez and Jimmy Nelson, the Red Sox were locked in a 1-1 tie with the Brewers after 8 innings on Thursday afternoon in Milwaukee.
In danger of falling to .500 for the first time since April 14th, Boston received a much-needed lift from last year’s American League MVP runner-up:
Mookie got off to a bit of a slow start this season but is quickly returning to 2016 form. He’s hitting .311 with 5 home runs and 22 RBI’s in 31 games.
After overcoming their offensive struggles with a hit parade in Minnesota last weekend, the Sox showed that they’re also capable of timely hitting on Thursday. They went 3-3 on their six-game road trip and will take on the Rays at Fenway on Friday night.
