Due to all the excitement of the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history and it’s ensuing celebration, you may have forgotten that the Celtics are on a seven-game win streak, have won 20 of their last 26, and are just 2.5 games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for the lead in the Eastern Conference.
Tom Brady didn’t forget:
Isaiah Thomas says Tom Brady texted him after the Super Bowl and said, "It's your turn next."
— Boston Celtics (@celtics) February 8, 2017
It’s always cool to see the relationships between Boston athletes, past and present. Isaiah just met Paul Pierce for the first time on Saturday night and enjoyed a great conversation with the Celtics’ legend.
But cool isn’t a strong enough adjective to describe this particular text from the GOAT. Brady obviously recognizes Isaiah’s ability to lead a team and feels like he can bring the C’s back to the NBA Finals. If you don’t think that’s possible, you probably didn’t think coming back from 28-3 in the third quarter was possible either. By the way, the Cavs suck right now.
