I knew the Jets were bad but I didn’t know they were this bad. 54-13 was the final score on Sunday afternoon at Gillette.
I also didn’t know this Patriots team was capable of putting up 50 points on anyone so this was a pleasant surprise.
It was the first 300-yard performance of Mac Jones’ career. He’s now just the fourth rookie in NFL history to throw for at least 225 yards and a touchdown in five straight games, joining Dak Prescott (2016), Justin Herbert (2020), and Deshaun Watson (2017). He might sound like an eight year-old in his interviews but the kid is proving to be a man on the football field.
